Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish and half-English woman was born on the 16th of April 1996 in Miami Florida. Half English and a quarter Spanish she is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Their father is Argentine with Scottish as well as English origin. Her mother comes from Spanish and English roots. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's previous marriage. The family lived at Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria region in London. Taylor-Joy believes that moving into London was difficult and she did not learn English to stay out of the risk of returning to Argentina. She was forced to transfer schools to Northlands to Hill House. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she took ballet classes and appeared in school plays. At the age of 16, she decided to leave school to make a career of acting. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to work as an actress. Her dream was granted a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered an opportunity as a model.
