Amanda Blake

Amanda Blake (born Beverly Louise Neill) was an incredibly popular American actress. The most prominent role she played was as the character Miss Kitty Russell on the TV series 'Gunsmoke.' Alongside this her appearance in television series such as "The Red Skelton Show", "Tattletales" and "The Edge of Night". Additionally, she appeared in dozens of other films that included Stars In My Crown, Duchess Of Idaho, Cattle Town, Miss Robin Crusoe,?"About Mrs. Leslie",?The Adventures of Hajji Baba, High Society? And The Boost and The Boost?. Blake had been working as a telephone operator and a fan of animals. She and her partner Frank Gilbert and she were among the first people to breed successfully Cheetahs. She co-founded together with husband Frank Gilbert of the Arizona Animal Welfare League. As a member of the board of the Humane Society of the United States, Blake has had a lengthy history. Blake has been awarded many honors, including being inducted into Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
