Sundar Pichai

Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan, better known as Sundar Picha is an Indian-American business executive. [6] He serves as the chief executive officer (CEO) for Alphabet Inc.'s subsidiary Google. Born in Madurai, India.[4] Pichai graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a degree in metallurgical engineering. When he moved to the United States, he attained an M.S. When he moved to the United States where he completed an M.S. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University. After a brief time with the management consulting firm McKinsey & Co., Pichai joined Google in 2004 and led the product management and innovation efforts for a suite of Google's client software, including Google Chrome as well as ChromeOS in addition to being in charge of Google Drive. Pichai also managed the creation of Google Maps, Gmail, as well as other applications. Pichai announced in the year 2010 that Google had made the video codec VP8 open-source and introduced WebM an entirely new video format. In 2012, the Chromebook was released. Pichai, who oversaw the rollout of Android in 2012, added Android to the list of Google products.
