Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift (born 13 December 1989) is an American musician and singer. Her discography spans many kinds of music. Swift's songwriting, often influenced by her own life, has was praised by critics. Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania and relocated to Nashville when she was 14. She signed a songwriting contract with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2004 and a recording contract with Big Machine Records in 2005. Swift was the first female country singer to make an U.S. platinum-certified debut album, and it was a self-titled album. Swift's subsequent albums Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2011) explored country pop. "Love Story" (the first country song to reach the top spot on the U.S. pop airplay charts) and "You Belong with Me," the latter track, were Swift's next albums, Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2010). Red (2012) featured the debut Billboard Hot 100 single, "We We Never Ever Coming Back Together." She abandoned her image as a country singer in 1989 (2014), which was supported by chart-topping tracks like "Shake ItOff", "Blank Space" or "Bad Blood". Reputation (2017), with its top-charting track "Look What You Did to Me" Me Do", was a product of media scrutiny. Swift, who had left Big Machine, signed with Republic Records and released Lover (2019) which was her seventh studio record. The autobiographical film Miss Americana was released in 2020. With her albums for 2020, Folklore and Evermore, Swift ventured into indie and alternative folk. The two singles "Cardigan", and "Willow", topped the Hot 100. Swift began rerecording her first six albums to resolve a dispute regarding their masters. Swift released two albums in 2021 - Fearless (Taylor’s Edition) and Red. "All Too Well (10 minute version)" was the longest song to reach the top of the Hot 100. Her 2022 album Midnights and its lead single "Anti-Hero", set all-time streaming music records. Swift has also directed music videos and films such as All Too Well The Short Film (2021) and All Too Well The Short Film (2021), as well as playing roles in many other projects. Swift is of the top-selling artists ever. Swift has sold more than 200 million copies worldwide. She is the highest-rated woman on Spotify, and the only artist to have five albums open with more than one million copies sold in the US. Swift has been awarded 12 Grammy Awards, including three Album of the Year awards; an Emmy Award. There have also been 39 American Music Awards; 29 Billboard Music Awards and 92 Guinness World Records. Swift has been listed in Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest songwriters of All Time, and Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists as well as Forbes Celebrity 100 and Time 100. Swift was given the honor of being named Artist of the Decade as and Woman of the Decade. She is a strong advocate for women's empowerment and artists' rights.
